Work with us
At Mixed Up Creative we have a totally open submissions policy – anyone, anywhere in the world is welcome to make a submission to us. Whether you are an established artist or you’ve never been published before, we’d love to hear from you. We are looking for inspirational, high quality projects with an arty feel in all disciplines. Our product is aimed at artists of all levels of experience.
Initially, please send us three samples of your best work and a link to somewhere online we can see your work (blog, Instagram feed, Facebook page). Alternatively, firm project ideas with sample pics are even better! You can reach me at email@example.com
Our projects are step-by-step or video tutorials in the main but we also feature ‘how tos’, interviews, and articles on specific areas of crafting (for example we’ve had pieces on mail art and faith journals). We do require new work that’s exclusively licensed to us.
Deadlines for copy are always 1st of the month for publication the following month.
We have optional themes for each issue which can be provided to you. If you don’t like the theme, feel free to submit something different!
Our philosophy at Mixed Up Creative is to work alongside the arts and crafts industries to support fellow businesses in the sector.
Our pARTners are businesses who we work with on a flexible, scheduled programme of articles, advertising, reader offers and social media sharing over a period of 12 months. It’s a mutually beneficial relationship, where we work to actively promote one another and the services we offer. There is NO CHARGE to partnering with us and no charge for the associated advertising you receive. There’s of course the option for businesses to work with us on a one-off or more occasional basis.
Our purpose in forming partnerships is to be just that – partners involved in the mutual promotion of the industry we love – which is why there is no cost to you to be involved.
If you’d like to work with us we’d love to hear from you. Contact Katy (Editor) on firstname.lastname@example.org for more details.
